our bookshelf - an overview
Our work is rooted in a continual exploration of the question 'What is it to be human?'. It's by starting and staying here that we think we can provide the depth and insight needed to be really helpful to our individual and organisational clients in all kinds of tangible, practical ways.

We continually study a wide range of sources from philosophy through organisation development to biology. Many of our favourites are listed here. Use the links on the left to explore the different categories.

We're currently reading:

Immunity to Change by Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow-Lahey

Kegan and Lahey are thoughtful, thorough and deeply insightful on what makes change - both personal and organisational - possible. This book is filled with powerful distinctions about development, what gets in the way of it, and how to move forward. Pragmatic, humane, and incredibly valuable.

Soul Without Shame: A Guide to Liberating Yourself from the Judge Within, by Byron Brown

Working with the 'inner critic' is a vitally important skill for everyone, and a topic that shows up frequently in our work with both individuals and groups. This book is thorough, compassionate, stretching, and filled with practical distinctions and exercises for reducing the hold that this part of us can so easily have. Essential reading.
